Re: Vespa Sports Drink
Jeff:
Thank you for introducing us to your product – Vespa Sport Supplement
After buying our first ten bottles at the Kamloops Bantam Tournament in April, my 13 year old son who has been a diabetic for 5 years started using the drink for his roller hockey games. Up to this point we would never know if his blood sugars would drop very low or rise sky high.
As a hockey player with diabetes it has been a roller coaster ride in the blood sugar levels. Some games he has been so low he can hardly move. At this point he has had to drink fruit juice then eat a sandwich.
Typically after the low his sugar levels would rebound to the twenties a couple of hours later. On the other hand, sometimes his blood sugars would rise to the high twenties during the game and he would take insulin on the bench. Also when his blood sugars were so high (or low), his performance was labored.
Upon reading the literature and reasoning that if the Glycogen pathway was not involved, I thought that for a diabetic this product could be revolutionary. Our first ten bottles gave my son a new lease on sports.
He said he felt that his sugars stayed stable and not once did he have to drink anything but water! This was unbelievable to us. After ordering our second set of drinks, Bryan and I decided to keep close track of what his sugars were doing during the game. The results are most encouraging!
Besides Bryan’s new energy during sports, I am excited that he can go out and play just like all his team mates.

Although my data is only nine games so far, my son says he feels so much better as he can feel the steadiness of his sugars. This is very encouraging data to me and I think there is a need to get the word out to other Athletic Diabetics.
Thanks a lot.
